On Monday 3rd October our Head Office Team took half a day out of our busy schedule to go to Barnacre Alpacas near Otterburn, Northumberland.
On a lovey Autumn Day we met alpacas belonging to Catriona our Director of Operations (and many more). We learned how to handle them and lead them with halters as we walked through the Northumberland countryside. It was a very enjoyable experience and good for us to do something new together.
In the years ahead Catriona intends to develop the use of alpacas as an activity for people with disabilities and we were interested to see the benefits of this first hand. It helped our collective stress levels and we all enjoyed ourselves - as much as the alpacas enjoyed their carrots!
