Introducing Sam Clarke - New Director

Positive Support for You CIC  is delighted to have recruited a new Director, Sam Clark  to our Board.

Samantha Clark is currently working for the Local Ares Coordination Network. The Network supports the implementation of Local Area Coordination across England & Wales

Until October 2016 Sam was the Chief Executive of Inclusion North CIC from its inception in 2006. As the CEO Sam got to work with people with Learning Disabilities, their families and professionals to help people get more control and power to live the kind of life they want to.

Sam says of herself

“I grew up in Yorkshire in a relatively small town. I now live 6 miles away from my childhood home and feel glad I’m back in the north.

My first full time job was working in a hostel for homeless men. I got to know lots of different people, some of them had university degrees or went to posh schools but still had struggled in their life and found themselves homeless. After that I worked in several places supporting people to live independently. I learnt a lot about communities and how to get involved in making communities and people’s lives better.

I’m passionate about the contribution we all can make being valued & recognised & am always looking for opportunities to collaborate with & learn from other people.”

Sam already has visited some of the people we support to find out about our work  and met some staff. We are really pleased to have her on the Team.”
